As Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 are approaching, all the parties are working bullheaded to collect "investors" for their vote bank. Voting for Bihar assembly elections will be held in three phases on October 28, November 3 and November 7 in one of the biggest elections globally during the Covid-19 pandemic, followed by counting of votes on November 10.
Bharatiya Janata Party announced a free Covid vaccine for the people of Bihar if it comes back to power which received a lot of criticism. "All Indians have the right to free Covid Vaccine," says Arvind Kejriwal. His party took a swipe at BJP, asking if Indians who did not vote for them would also get free vaccines. Although, Finance Minister Nirmal Sitharaman asserted that the announcement was perfectly in order and a party can announce what it wants to do when it comes to power. According to the party, the announcement was perfectly in order, as health is a state subject.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday released his party manifesto for Bihar Elections 2020 in Patna. He said that his party aims to bring overall development to the state and create a new stunning Bihar focusing on issues like employment, women empowerment, agroindustry, education, smart village, Panchayati Raj institute, poverty, community development, healthcare services. He discussed the 10 lakh government jobs and the 4.5 lakh vacancies in the health care and education sectors.
Bihar is faced with a plethora of challenges, which includes the absence of the delivery mechanism. Every time these elections come as a season of promises in the same way in which people of Bihar suffer every rainy season the dreadful act of floods, in the same way in which every hour a lady is raped resulting in nothing more than a candle march, in the same way in which a generation of kids is lost in child labor.
Still waiting for the day when we would swear by our work and not fake promises.
