Something or the other thing is wrong:
It is not that a candidate requires a CGPA of more than 9.5 and has no history of backlogs. Even the requirement is met only if the individual is skilled or not. Attending a campus interview these days isn’t a big problem at all. This competitive world made them move on in an easier manner. Most product-based companies search for a skilled guy, who is strong and innovative in the coding and algorithm side. It is being asked because the answer that you give will be verified with your stuff mentioned in the resume.
Cracking the Microsoft Interview:
Every company searches for a geek who has done more projects extensively from open source projects. However, academics make you prepare for fancy research out of which they are not going to help much in an interview time. Each company has its own quirks. Likewise, Microsoft’s expectations are pure technology, Application Programming Interface (API), The recruiter will give a sample question in the short interview.
On the day of your interview, you will be facing four or five rounds generally. The meetings will be held directly in the Microsoft office. After completing all these rounds which are found to be the basics as other companies like Apple, Amazon, does. When you complete your interviews, you might speak with a hiring manager. That’s a great sign! It likely means that you passed the interviews with a particular team. It’s now down to the HR’s decision to select you or not in that situation.
The Uniqueness:
The thing which always makes you unique is ‘staying away from the crowd’. When you face Microsoft’s recruiting team, it is a great sign as you have passed all the four levels and reached out to the Face to Face round with the Hiring Manager. Why do you want to work for Microsoft? Microsoft wants to see that you’re passionate about technology. A great answer might be, “I’ve been using Microsoft software as long as I can remember, and I'm really impressed at how Microsoft manages to create a product”.
If the meeting ends with a conversation about the salary norms, then it is clearly evident that you have been selected and going to work with Microsoft.
