In a new world record at the Universal Record Forum (URF), Kerela’s woman named Arathi Reghunath completed 350 online courses in the span of three months.

While many people are juggling with work from home and household tasks amid the coronavirus pandemic, others are spending their free time picking up the hobbies they had kept aside for a long time. From cooking, dancing, singing, to graphic designing, blogging, art and craft, people are trying to give more time to things they've always wanted to do in their free time, some were trying to achieve a remarkable feat. Arathi Reghunath, a native of Elamakkara in Kerala's Kochi is one of those who made the best of their time at home.

The second-year MSc Biochemistry student of MES College finished 350 courses in the last three months listed on the ‘Coursera’ platform from world-renowned universities. She bagged a world record from Universal Record Forum (URF) for completing the impressive number of online courses.

A New Indian Express report quoted her saying, "It was my faculty at college who introduced me into the world of online courses. There are a range of courses online. All of them vary in duration and curriculum. With the support of my college principal Ajims P Muhammed, Coursera coordinator Haneefa K G and class tutor Neelima T K, I managed to finish the courses I signed up for within a few weeks."

Arathi completed some of the courses which were offered by John Hawkins University, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), University of Virginia, State University of New York, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Copenhagen, University of Rochester, Emory University, and Coursera Project Network.
