The Indian Governments’ ban on PUBG has been a hot topic ever since the ban was announced. PUBG Corp. in a bid to come back to India cut ties with Tencent, still, the Indian Ministry had responded by stating that the games’ Violent Nature is also a reason for the ban. After the Jio and Airtel rumors had been put to rest it seemed like the game is gone for good and players have started to move past the game and adapting to new titles. But PUBG unban is still a dream of a lot of gamers.
Now a Job posting on LinkedIn was posted by PUBG Corporation, for the role of Corporate Development Division Manager – India. The job entails to frame the corporate strategy and drive alignment and execution of the game in India, also to support the setup process of PUBG India with guidance from HQ. This means that the game has to have already returned for a person to perform this job. This has really created some hope for PUBG unban in India. For now, the work location on the job says working from home in India.
This has been considered by some as a sign that PUBG Mobile is making a comeback in India. However, the job description on the online listing only mentions PUBG and not PUBG Mobile, as initially noted by the technology blog FossBytes. It is important to note that while the government banned PUBG Mobile in the country last month, PUBG, which is available on PC and game consoles, is still accessible for download and play across all compatible platforms. Thus, by hiring a new manager, PUBG Corporation may want to bolster the presence of its original game and not its mobile version.
