The Big Google Goof up!

Google search engine left Anushka’s fans wondering when it showed Anushka Sharma as the wife of Afghanistan spinner Rashid khan.

The google search engine showed Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma as the wife of Afghanistan cricketer Rashid khan whenever anybody would lookup for ‘Rashid Khan’s wife’. 

Also, a short bio of Rashid was written after the actress's name on the page, followed by his marital status that read 'Married'. In the wife's name section, it mentioned Anushka Sharma's name. In the marriage date column, her wedding date was mentioned as December 11, 2017.

All this Goof up started when Rashid Khan who is apparently single said in an Instagram chat with fans that his favorite Bollywood actresses are Anushka Sharma and Preity Zinta a few years back. After this chat, Rashid Khan’s and Anushka’s names trended furiously and spread like a wildfire resulting in this linkup ever since.

It is not the first time that google search engine goofed up. Many times, google search engine has done blunders like this when it showed the image of Sumedh Mudgalkar when anybody would search for Mallika Singh playing the character of Radha in the show Radhakrishn. Also, the same way Donald Trump’s pictures show up if one searches for ‘idiot’.

Although Google shows Anushka Sharma as Rashid Khan’s wife, she is the wife of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. They tied the knot in Italy in December 2017 and are expecting their first child which is due in January 2021.
