It was a doubleheader yesterday as it was the weekend. We shall first see about what happened in the match at 3:30 pm. It was a clash between KKR and DC. Delhi won the toss and chose to bowl first. Even though the other KKR batsman didn't contribute much, Nitish Rana(81) and Sunil Narine(64) got them an above par score. KKR ended up scoring 194/6. It was a struggling start for DC when they came to bat, but Shreyas Iyer(47) and Rishabh Pant(27) somewhat managed to up the scoring rate eventually losing their wickets.
DC in the end could only manage to get 135/9. It was a fifer from Varun Chakravarthy and a 3 wicket haul from Cummins which restricted Delhi. KKR won the match by 59 runs. Now coming to the match that happened next, was a clash between KXIP vs SRH. SRH won the toss and chose to bowl first. Punjab struggled to score runs as the highest run scorers in their innings were KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran with just 32 and 27. They ended up scoring 126/7. It looked like SRH were onto an easy win, when they were on 56/0 in the 7th over. But then, they collapsed to a good bowling performance by KXIP.
In the end, they were all out for 114. Warner scored 35 runs and Vijay Shankar scored 26 runs who were the top two scorers on their side. Both Jordan and Arshdeep took 3 wickets each, from the bowling unit, which shattered SRH's innings. KXIP won the match by 12 runs.
