WHICH FACE OF SURIYA IS MORE IMPORTANT - PRODUCER OR ACTOR????

The government of India has recently announced that public places like theaters, parks, and malls can be opened after the 15th of October under some restrictions such as social distancing, compulsorily people should wear face masks, etc. Even if the public places are opened there are more chances for the spread of the “Corona Virus” very quickly. From this, we can tell that even if all the public places are opened there will be a big loss in the business as people fear walking around the city freely.

Due to the pandemic, many movies that were ready for the release in the theaters were sold to the OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar at a higher price. Recently on October 2nd two movies were released in OTT (Ka.Pae.Ranasingam and Silence) which got a big reach with the audience. Soorarai Pottru the people’s most awaited movie directed by Sudha Kongara is being released on Amazon Prime on the 30th of October which casts Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in the lead role and the movie was produced by Suriya himself.

Due to the pandemic, Suriya made up his mind and sold the movie to Amazon Prime for 45 crores. But now as the theaters are reopening there are more chances for the movie to be released on the big screen before being released in OTT. Will Surya consider his fan's input and make them happy by releasing the film in the Box office. Let us wait and watch what happens. If the answer comes in favor of the audience then the reach of the movie among the audience will be more. But if the answer comes against the Tamil audience then the OTT platforms will get a big profit but the people’s count of going to theaters will get reduced which eventually ends up in a big loss. The decision is now in the hands of Suriya himself. Will he show himself as an actor or as a producer???
