Pooran's quick fifty brought Punjab their 4th win

The match 38 of Dream11 IPL was a clash between KXIP Vs DC. Punjab was desperate to win this match to get those 2 points for their qualification to the playoffs. But it was not an important one for the Delhi Capitals as they are already on the top of the table. DC won the toss and chose to bat first. DC sent Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan as their opening pair. Shaw (7) went early which was not a good start by DC.

Shikhar Dhawan(106*) scored his second consecutive century making history. Other than him, Iyer (14), Pant(14), Stoinis (9) and hetmyer(10) managed to score some runs. In the end DC scored 164/4. For Punjab, Rahul and Mayank came in as openers. The most consistent opening pair in this edition failed to score runs. But a quick fire from the Universe Boss (Chris Gayle - 29 off 13) and Nicholas Pooran (53 off 28) lowered their required runrate. Thereafter, Maxwell (32), Hooda (15*) and Neesham (10*) took their team home comfortably, with an over to spare. Eventhough, Punjab won the match, Dhawan stole the man of the match award for his ton.

This year's edition is eye-catching to watch because the league stage is going to end in a couple of weeks, but all the 8 teams are having chances to get into the playoffs.
